useless posts just keep piling up
Lots of rain today. And yesterday. askljlakj why can't you just rain over the dams or whatever? OTL Also spent the majority of today doing very little productive, having already completed the required work and... yeah.

what is this... I don't even... what. Just... akljslak *dies*

[ and some random reference-less Kazusa 'cause I can ] I keep telling myself to draw more KcK fanart, but, uh... clearly I'm not doing it.

Hrm... I was probably going to say a whole load of other semi-useless things like leveling up in Parasite Eve is a pain, but she asl;dkl that boss battle irritated me D: I also need to get a haircut at some point, but I've forgotten now, more or less. Though staring at numbers and the computer almost constantly really isn't a good thing and my poor eyes...

So have some random linking to a video instead: [ Starduster PV - Hatsune Miku ] *is such a Vocaloid fangirl orz*

I.

HATE.

USELESS.

RAIN.

Especially when I have to go down the gym and there's no covered way to get there.

I KNOW. IT'S JUST.

AUUGH.

I really don't want to leave the house.
meg_inatree[info]meg_inatree on October 26th, 2009 08:59 pm (UTC)
Also, great, now I know it's going to be raining soon. ;__; I mean, the grey skies gave it away, but the hope was there man. The hope was there.

Going to be another fun day.

...

They just love to crush any hope we have left, is all.

Ooooh yeah. Not.

Rain...yes. I see what you mean by that.

No rain---> no water. If it only rained over dams/only rained at night while rarely anyone is awake, we'd all be much happier.

But things simply don't work that way. And it only winds up getting you reminded to be thankful for no snow.

Somehow I don't see how you manage to find the time to draw/procrastinate. Unless you are a first year student, which I doubt, it's unlikely for there to be much free time remaining. Either that or it's simply because I'm slow/attempting to be a perfectionist.

Though that sleeping ball of a cat is rather appealing.

Well, it's not like we can really change it, so I'll deal with it, like every other time though it does get irritating when it's pouring. Then again, if it did only rain over a certain area, I think we'd all be dead. Or at least the plants...

The majority of things I draw are basically small doodles, so... *shrug* I multi-task/don't listen when I already know most of the time as well.

Poking it would be a good pastime.
misa-tan[info]misae_tan on October 29th, 2009 12:01 am (UTC)
Yes, but running in heavy rain is no fun. That's simply what Physical Ed. throws at you...especially in those mandatory years.

...then...what would you do on a pop quiz?

But surely writing *does take time. If I assume that you are a senior or close to that...well...

erm then how do you find time to do your homework?

Or maybe I shouldn't speak since I'm someone who goes off and writes an essay when I was *supposed* to have written one paragraph
i could only pretend to know[info]seena58 on October 30th, 2009 11:12 am (UTC)
Tertiary education, so I'm not so bogged down nowadays.
misa-tan[info]misae_tan on October 30th, 2009 05:10 am (UTC)
I should be writing an essay instead of stalking this place, but I don't seem to know any better...-dies of being braindead-

By the way, do you think it's possible for me to add you as a friend?

Though I know that the relationship is closer to stalking and worshipping than friendship...

That is if you don't mind.
i could only pretend to know[info]seena58 on October 30th, 2009 11:16 am (UTC)
Hrm, I'm certain there are more interesting things you could be doing than stalk my journal; it really isn't all that interesting.

If you want to friend me, go ahead.
misa-tan[info]misae_tan on October 30th, 2009 10:51 pm (UTC)
Perhaps that is what you might think. Then again the only thing better for me to do is to finish my homework, and perhaps then find another place to stalk after I'm done my daily stalking of this place. Or...perhaps write something

Thank you. As off-topic as this is, have you ever read Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni?

Though it wouldn't matter since I don't log into this site often.
i could only pretend to know[info]seena58 on November 1st, 2009 11:28 am (UTC)
Ah, no, but I've heard of it. I might look into it someday, though.
misa-tan: Maiko C suma[info]misae_tan on November 1st, 2009 05:46 pm (UTC)
Ah, I see. It's somewhat psychological...though I suppose that insanity is not an issue. It's somewhat the gore in certain arcs that can seem disturbing. Then again I shouldn't speak about it since I got scared away from it(Manga preferable to anime?)

Pita ten...Kamichama Karin...I don't think you have read Naki Shoujo no Tame no Pavane have you?

Wait...what is the difference between sanity and insanity now?
i could only pretend to know[info]seena58 on November 2nd, 2009 11:31 am (UTC)
Yeah, while the psychological aspect would be interesting, I'm not really all that comfortable with gore though at the same time a part of me wants to check it out, only to have me regret it later.

I took a look at the chapter one scanlation of Pavane, but it seems there haven't been any other releases since. Not like I'm really checking, though.

Hm... I'm not quite sure; it can be a pretty blurry line. Perhaps it has something to do with self-awareness.
misa-tan[info]misae_tan on November 3rd, 2009 12:24 am (UTC)
I first read Watanageshi(?--may be inaccurate), or Cotton Killing, which did not have much gore. Some arcs are worse than others. Disturbing almost, from what I heard. The first few chapters were fine, pyschological somewhat, a bit of gore. The later chapter...well I ran off after a certain chapter...I don't recomend certain arcs. Well the style of drawing makes the gore less disturbing/noticable...but I suppose it does give a few nigthmares in my case...wait...that was Pavane actually.

In English, only ch. 1 of Pavane exists. In Chinese, well four chapters exist. Through certain procedures, I did find access to the scane, but given the security that the scanlation group (Kingdom Cafe) placed on their scans, I cannot distribute them.

The series does prove to be interesting If you ignore that first arc. The characters that is...

Koge Donbo still does not draw much blood in a series where characters are being murdered...well stabbed to their death...

Though I don't particularly favour Kaga Nanao. Chigusa (sixth sense, somewhat anti-social), Takenomaru (selfish, stubborn, run-away from death, murderer), Nakae (Sarcastic, pretends to be cheerful/ethusiastic, does whatever she wants), Kami (stalker, blackmailer, detests pita, annoys certain people to no end), and a few other characters seem interesting though...

You won't be interesting, but I could give you rough translation of ch.2-4 of Pavane.(I can read Chinese, only not to the extent where I can do proper translating.) Also a summary of chapters 12-14(Those three chapters are raws.)
misa-tan: green vocaloid[info]misae_tan on November 3rd, 2009 12:27 am (UTC)
I apologize for spanning this into two separate comments...

Self awareness...

if such were the case then I could say that I was insane..

Though people would disagree. I am told that I'm perfectly sane. Which is most likely true. Only the extent that I seem to be aware of certain things could be ill-provoking...

Ill state of the mind is not much of a definition, is it?

-is psychological...somewhat...-

i could only pretend to know: Hizumi & Ayumu[info]seena58 on November 4th, 2009 11:58 am (UTC)
So the first arc of Pavane is the weakest in your opinion, huh... That is to say, I didn't really know what to think of the series itself. Still don't, actually; might need to do some research at some point.

And don't worry about rough translations, unless you really want to. I haven't seen any raw chapters myself - didn't search for them either - so yeah. At this point, it really isn't something I'm following. It might change in time, though. Hm...

It's a strange thing, the mind and how we perceive ourselves (only to have it looked at differently from an outsider's point of view, though the degree of difference varies, I suppose).

Then again, these are the sorts of things I don't try too hard to think about, since I'd probably find myself going around in circles.
misa-tan[info]misae_tan on November 5th, 2009 12:27 am (UTC)
Perhaps that is only my point of view. Kaga Nanao is simply portrayed as what we think of a stereotypical angel to be. Human though. Add in naive...without much work, she became Takenomaru's victim.

Even if you were to search for raws, I'm doubtful that you'll actually find anything. Most people never managed to do as much as finding actual raws.

I just cheated, searching in a different lanuage...erm..not Japanese...that is..

Rough translations...I did some of them originally. Afterwards, Random-chan, a member of Syuura, fixed my translations up. And I edited hers as well...we still don't have a particularly accurate translation down...not being able to read too much Chinese. It's around 75% translated.

The first arc could be said to be a boredom...before some other characters have been introduced. Some characters are particularly amusing to analyze though...

But don't we all find that how we perceive ourselves to be similar to what people think of us in certain aspects?

Insanity is an odd thing; some say that your are sane if you think that you are insane.

I simply find braindeadness when I attempt understanding this concept. Not that such word exists.

i could only pretend to know[info]seena58 on November 5th, 2009 11:51 am (UTC)
Well, I wasn't really all that impressed with the first chapter when I read it, to be honest. And it was probably due to Kaga, now that I think about it.

Finding raws would probably be too much effort for me, though I guess nothing's stopping me from buying a hardcopy, if I happen to see it though I wouldn't be able to read it.

That's true, and that's what makes it so complicated.

In some cases of the sane/insane argument, if some form of insanity has made itself present externally in any shape or form, people can choose to ignore it, or don't believe it actually exists. Which can lead us to questioning ourselves, or them. Perhaps both. Ah well.
misa-tan[info]misae_tan on November 6th, 2009 02:28 am (UTC)
All of volume one is dedicated to Nanao(Her first name is actually Nanao. I've gotten myself a bad habit of writing last names before first. I suppose a comma would clarify things there). At least almost all of it. The volume itself contains three chapters, two of which her arc. Not that the other characters have particularly amusing arcs. Though I would say that the most unfavourable arc by far seems to be Nanao's. In terms of being a victim, she was technically a freebie for the protagonist.

I suppose the amusement in the arcs increase within time.

Volume 1- Boredom; guillable, pure, untained, naive, weak freebie of a victim--Nanao. The only form of amusement found in this would be Nakae's appearance.

Volume 2- Improvement--things are not quite as easy or straightforward. Then again, I've only read the first chapter of that arc. The victim is an arrogant teacher. Some humor is visible.

Volume 3-Once again not much of this is known. A fangirl of the protagonist, however, is not the easiest victim. (Though Hikari is also rather unfavourable amongst some of us who have read parts of the arc) Things end in a suicide/murder. Possible antagonist is introduced. Not such an appealing arc, though not to the extent of Nanao's arc/Arc 1.

Volume 4- By far quite amusing. Humor is visible in the first chapter. Maiko makes her appearance, claiming to be blood-related to Takenomaru. Kami, I suppose, was the key to this arc. As a stalker and blackmailer that annoys the protagonist to no end, the second chapter is rather amusing.

Basically, volume four would be your best option...though it has yet to be released. I suppose it truly depends on which character the arc features, thoguh I suspect that later arcs will appeal further.

And in the end, we find that all the analyzing that we attempt is useless.

Thanks for the breakdown in volumes; I'll definitely keep that in mind if I decide to buy.

It's basically a cycle.

Now that I've come accross it...

There is a different series. Since I have not read/watched/played the visual novel/anything else, I do not know whether any gore might be in it. It is categorized as mystery and adventure. Most likely psychological as Ryushiki07(same group that did Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni) does many of those.

The art this time is done by Peach Pit...

Either known as Okamikushi or Ookamikushi. (Is it a wolf, or is it a god?)
i could only pretend to know: Sakis[info]seena58 on November 8th, 2009 11:42 am (UTC)
Looks like it's Ookamikakushi (youtube has the game trailer, etc). Will have to keep a tab on it, just in case.

It sort of reminds me that I was supposed to take a look at the Kara no Kyoukai movies at some point as well. Hm.
misa-tan[info]misae_tan on November 8th, 2009 08:26 pm (UTC)
Your welcome.

I'm simply paranoid about watching it. Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni and Umineko no Naku Koro Ni in some scenes could be disturbing.

I'm tempted to read/watch this one though. Ookamikushi that is. I've found this summary.

A 16 year old boy, Hiroshi Kuzumi, started to live in a new town that is located in the mountains. The town is separated into new and old streets by the river, and many mysterious local cultures still remain. Although confused and enjoying his new life, one person kept her distance from him: class committee member Kushinada Nemura. In their few encounters she gave him a word of advice: “Stay away from the old streets.”

Though that scythe shown on that image makes me doubtful that it's fully murder-free.

Just as information of interest, one of the characters is voiced by Fujita Saki(Hatsune Miku's voice actress/bank/origin)

Since I do not know what Kara no Kyoukai is, I have nothing to say for it.

If you want...free raws of Pavane.
